Everything! Tillotts UK is my baby, when I first joined as general manager in July 2012 there were three employees including me, and sales were less than £250,000. Now we a thriving business with 40 employees and sales above £25 million, it has been and still is an exciting and exhilarating place to work.  At Tillotts we work hard and have fun, we enjoy working together as a team and are all proud of our achievements.

“The main thing, is to keep the main thing, THE MAIN THING!” This is a quote from Steven Covey – it reminds me to keep my focus on the main opportunity and not to get diverted, it is too easy to lose focus and get distracted.

I have various role models for business situations and challenges, but one challenge I have and always failed to overcome is that I cannot sing and I love to sing, my singing role model is and has always been Freddie Mercury.

Having worked at Tillotts for six years now, I very much love the “family culture” that runs through Tillotts UK. We are a very caring organisation, and I enjoy working hard, as a company we have lots of fun and as we continue to focus on our crazy goal “To be the preferred partner in GI health with a market leading portfolio and reputation”.

My favourite animal has to be a cat, as my wife tells me this is my favourite animal. In all honesty, I am really a K9 admirer myself first and foremost.

As a small but growing company, everyone knows everyone and it really does feel like a big family. Within my role, no day is the same and there are always opportunities to take on new challenges and make a positive impact. I love working in a company which is so passionate about making a difference to patient lives.

I love travelling, and exploring the world from new angles, whether scuba diving to the bottom of the ocean or parachuting through the sky. I also enjoy spending time with my nieces and nephews and teaching them all the things an Auntie should!

I love working at Tillotts for many reasons.  One is the friendly and motivating working environment in which I work, where everyone’s ideas are listened to and considered, and everyone is made to feel like a valued member of the team.  I also love that I can work flexibly, so that alongside having a career I am also able to spend quality time with my daughter.

I love the unique culture at Tillotts, as it is collaborative, supportive, and we all help each other to grow. I started at Tillotts as a Graduate Marketing Associate in 2018 and Tillotts have helped me develop so much over the past few years. I am now a Brand Manager, which is a perfect mix of science and creativity.

Birds, because I find bird song so peaceful and I love how free birds are as they fly through the sky.

I’ve been at Tillotts just over 12 months and what drew me to the company was the people. You get an immediate sense of family, and that everyone is in it together. I am lucky to have a great team of highly talented individuals, and I’m sure I will be sharing many more “loves” in no time.

My biggest passion is for DIY and powertools. I am renovating a house in France and it has become a labour of love. To help with my latest phase, I have just gained BTEC’s in plastering and plumbing!

It may sound cheesy, but my dad is my greatest role model. He can turn his hand to pretty much anything and taught me to do the same. He inspired my love of renovation and turning other peoples rubbish into something beautiful.

There is a real family feel at Tillotts and we enjoy spending time together. As individuals, we all have unique talents and things we are good at, both are recognised and celebrated. Most importantly, what we do makes a real difference for patients and that is always at the heart of everything we do.

The ability to fly – I wouldn’t need a car and could fly everywhere. Not having to pay for fuel, trains or flights would be fantastic and would also be environmentally friendly, but best of all it would get me to Wales much faster to see my lovely granddaughter.

I love the motivation and passion everyone within the company has for making a difference in patients’ lives. It embodies the heart of what we do and why we do it.

I enjoy exercising in the gym, I still find it incredible how you can condition your mind and body to achieve anything if you work for it

My favourite animal is a dog, they are so loyal and loving.

Personally, for me it’s the people that work here, people make a company what it is and the team here are passionate about what they do and they care about doing the right thing by people. Professionally, working in a company that isn’t standing still and strives for continuous growth and innovation is both rewarding and stimulating.
