Everything! Tillotts UK is my baby, when I first joined as general manager in July 2012 there were three employees including me, and sales were less than £250,000. Now we are a thriving business with more than 40 employees and sales exceeding £60 million, it has been and still is an exciting and exhilarating place to work.  At Tillotts we work hard and have fun, we enjoy working together as a team and are all proud of our achievements.

“The main thing, is to keep the main thing, THE MAIN THING!” This is a quote from Steven Covey – it reminds me to keep my focus on the main opportunity and not to get diverted, it is too easy to lose focus and get distracted.

I have various role models for business situations and challenges, but one challenge I have and always failed to overcome is that I cannot sing and I love to sing, my singing role model is and has always been Freddie Mercury.

The people I work with are a brilliant mix of creativity, positivity, professionalism and good fun.  The company is growing strongly which presents many challenges and opportunities – there is never a dull day.

I love working at Tillotts for many reasons.  One is the friendly and motivating working environment in which I work, where everyone’s ideas are listened to and considered, and everyone is made to feel like a valued member of the team.  I also love that I can work flexibly, so that alongside having a career I am also able to spend quality time with my daughter.

Personally, for me it’s the people that work here, people make a company what it is and the team here are passionate about what they do and they care about doing the right thing by people. I love working for Tillotts as I have a great group of colleagues who make me feel supported, trusted and valued. I love the Tillotts Team passion and determination to be the best in everything we do.

I really like Ballroom dancing, I have danced most of my life and still find it challenging and fun.

I have a real love of Korean food as I lived in Korea for a couple of years. I absolutely hate banana which is a bit of a problem as everyone else seems to love them!

This clear focus resonates strongly with my personal passions following careers in hospital pharmacy and academia, and enables myself and colleagues to deliver a range of exciting projects to achieve this overall ambition. Also it helps that the people here are great too.

I love being creative, working with my hands to make something pretty or tasty.  My latest craze is pottery, and crocheting! I also love working in the garden, exercise and spending time with friends.

What I really enjoy about working for Tillotts is the sense of purpose that comes with the work and the open & honest environment.  My partnership manager role ultimately connects back to improving patient health and quality of life, and that gives me a strong sense of motivation. I also appreciate being part of an industry that thrives on innovation—whether it’s new drugs, promoting novel treatments, or finding better ways to serve patients.

I enjoy accountability and the collaborative environment. I get to work with talented colleagues across different functions with in Sales , Marketing, Medical and commercial business teams—which not only broadens my knowledge but also helps me grow professionally. Finally, I value the opportunities for continuous learning and development, since Tillotts is such a dynamic and evolving company.
